Director of Performance Marketing

Since relaunching the brand in 2015, we’ve doubled revenue every year.  We are now looking for an analytical, results-oriented marketer to help us drive continued rapid growth. This is a great opportunity for an experienced performance marketer to own all aspects of an at-scale, customer acquisition program at a rapidly growing subscription eCommerce company. Your mission will be to maximize growth of our paid marketing budget by optimizing our existing channels and expanding into new ones, all while managing to our target CAC constraint and adhering to our brand goals. You will also work closely with the creative, editorial, and product teams to lead process improvements across our marketing operation.

About the Role

  • Create, manage, and execute advertising programs across Facebook, Adwords, TV/OTT, Email, and other relevant customer acquisition programs.
  • Write and edit accurate and succinct briefs that facilitate the development of compelling creative by the creative/brand teams.
  • Organize and execute complex digital marketing campaigns by managing teams of marketers across in-house and agency.
  • Create and utilize reports and analytics that facilitate monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing of our spend.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of our overall CAC budget across paid and organic acquisitions and make recommendations for how to optimize CAC across channels for maximum growth over time.
  • Utilize an iterative, testing-based approach to new channels, seeking to test and learn quickly at small scale.
  • Set performance goals (CAC and its drivers) at the channel and campaign level, proactively reporting and communicating results against these goals.

About You

  • 7+ years experience developing and executing performance based marketing campaigns measured end-to-end from CAC to LTV.
  • 5+ years experience driving customers to digital products where online purchase is the primary conversion event for the business.
  • Deep, hands-on experience personally managing (not via an agency) in at-least one major digital marketing channel across Facebook, Adwords, or Email.
  • Experience managing TV, podcasts, out-of-home and other offline channels.
  • Top-notch analytical skills with a proven ability to work through data to find opportunities and insights that are not readily apparent.
  • You are extremely organized. You have a strong point-of-view on the correct process for briefing, structuring, organizing, and managing digital marketing operations.
  • You care deeply about creating consumer brands that customers love.
  • You read at least one commercial fiction book each month for fun.
