Associate of People, Talent & Recruiting

We are looking for a high potential people professional to support our VP of People, Talent & Recruiting as we grow our team and scale our business. This is only our second hire in this group, and is an opportunity to join a team early and gain high quality experience with a high-performance culture.  If you want to learn what it takes to build a successful team at a rapidly growing entrepreneurial eCommerce company this could be for you! 

Responsibilities:

  • Screening and interviewing: Review resumes, conduct interviews, recommend next steps, and coordinate interviews for other team members
  • Recruiting operations: Ensure job descriptions are properly posted and promoted, pro-actively source candidates for specific positions when needed, coordinate with external recruiters as necessary
  • Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process including pre-employment communication, work planning, team integration and post-hire surveys.
  • People & Talent Operations:  Help administer various programs including the review process, team culture initiatives and benefit programs.  
  • Special Projects:  Help develop projects that enhance the Book of the Month employee experience and help the company succeed.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in people, talent and recruiting related roles
  • Strong plus for: (a) experience at an entrepreneurial growth company and with high-performance culture and (b) experience with marketing, technology, design/creative and operations teams
  • Ability to screen candidates against criteria for high-performance work environments
  • Obsessed with building and running business processes 
  • Possesses a high sense of urgency 
  • Strong levels of maturity, judgement and discretion
  • Portrays an approachable and productive mindset, even in times of stress or uncertainty 
  • Natural ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from interns to senior leadership
